Sirin

Vladimir Nabokov was a Russian-American author and expert lepidopterist.

He found happiness in finding the ‘right’ butterfly, and once captured he gained a sense of ecstasy from the oneness he found in nature.

Nabokov’s storytelling revolves around presenting an unadulterated picture of humanity— the longing for completeness.

The large margins allow for assets to stand alone and feel incomplete.

The typefaces further reinforce the separation and desire, shedding light on the longing we all have.

The photography helps to support a feeling of loneliness and wanting.

Type and image treatments remind us of Nabokov’s and our own search for oneness.

A search for ecstasy found in oneness.
